Child, Adolescent & Adult Psychotherapy

Hi there and welcome to my practice

where I offer virtual and in-person services to Ontario and Quebec residents in English and French.

I specialize in working with women, children and youth from an evidence-based, empathetic and down-to-earth approach. My goal is to foster an environment of safety and openness where we can work together on one or multiple issues. I primarily focus on “parts” work. That means learning about the different parts of ourselves, including those that are stuck, hurt or reactive, in order to facilitate healing and respond to situations from a place of calm, compassion and confidence. I also believe in the benefits of humour and laughter, and allowing space for it in session!

Over the past 10 years, I have gained extensive experience supporting clients experiencing anxiety, depression, family or relationship trauma, self-esteem issues and parenting challenges. My approach is based in IFS (Internal Family Systems), solution-focused and cognitive behavioural therapies, as well as art therapy, and is adapted to the unique needs and situation of each client.

I believe that half of the success in therapy is attributed to the connection between a client and their therapist. Contact me for a free consultation to see if we’re a good fit! I look forward to hearing from you!

Services

Individual therapy

This is where we talk and work together to identify and progress towards your goals. Most sessions are 50 minutes in length. I need a 10 minute buffer between sessions to document your file privately.

I offer virtual sessions for youth and adults who are struggling with:

Trauma
Attachment
Anxiety
Depression
Emotion dysregulation
Low self esteem
Difficult relationships
Parenting

Art therapy*

For some, talking and finding the right words to describe a situation can be a difficult task. This is when art therapy can be helpful. It is a unique and effective mode of psychotherapy for people of any age.

By using simple art materials, clients are encourage to explore their issues, difficulties, strengths and abilities. As a result, art therapy can help you gain mastery and control of thoughts/feelings/behaviours,
increase ability to express self,
increase self-esteem and
increase problem-solving skills.

These include:
